Vera Alentova explained why she broke the mourning for Menshov

Legendary director Vladimir Menshov died last summer. Not even 40 days have passed since his death, as the widow Vera Alentova appeared on the stage of the theater. Many fans of the director’s work then condemned her, accusing her of breaking mourning.

It turned out that the actress simply did not allow grief to affect the work of the theater.

“Oh, how could she – 40 days have not passed!”. Yes, it didn’t pass, but I went out to play performances. Because I have to! I can’t let the theater down and say: “You know, 40 days have not passed for me,” Alentova said in the documentary “How long I have been looking for you …” on Channel One.

Recallthe other day, Vera Alentova celebrated her 80th birthday and spoke for the first time about unsuccessful plastic surgery.
