Victim of many setbacks, Swiss makes an act of contrition with its passengers

Carsten Spohr, the managing director of the Lufthansa group, which also owns Swiss, promises that in the summer of 2023, air traffic will have regained all its stability and will be even more “efficient” and “reliable”. At present, this is in any case not the case. In a letter addressed this week to the loyal passengers of the group which, in addition to Lufthansa, includes Swiss, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Eurowings, the boss of the group takes the lead and explains the cacophony which reigns on the eve of the great departures of the holidays. Indeed, not a day goes by where flights are not delayed or even canceled without passengers being informed in advance. Not to mention the long waits to carry out the usual formalities at the airport.
