PITTSBURGH | There is never anything predictable in the Canadian universe. Trailing 1-0 after 21 seconds and 2-0 after less than five minutes, we expected another carnage against the Penguins. But the visitors wrote a very different story than the day before against the Colorado Avalanche.

Landed in Pittsburgh in the early morning, the CH chased physical fatigue, but especially mental, to triumph over the Penguins 6 to 4, Tuesday, at the PPG Paints Arena.
Anthony Richard scored the winning goal early in the third period. He beat Casey DeSmith, who came to relieve Tristan Jarry after the first period, with a precise shot in the top of the net. On this game, he hid behind defender Pierre-Olivier Joseph before grabbing a long pass from Justin Barron.
“It feels good, it was a big goal for me,” noted Richard. I often played this game with Justin in Laval. I wanted to go to the other side of the ice, but when I saw that it was Justin who had the puck, I braked and stayed behind the defenseman. I was hoping he had seen me. I know he has a good view of the game.”
“I saw him out of the corner of my eye and I just wanted to give him the puck even though he was pretty far away,” Barron said. Anthony is a good scorer, he had a perfect shot. He’s beaten goaltenders that way a lot this year with the Rocket.”
At his 11e game this season with CH, but his fourth since his second recall, Richard scored his second NHL goal. But it was his first winning goal.

Without a win in his last seven outings (0-5-2), the Canadian did not panic despite a false start against the Penguins, a team that had won seven of their last nine games.

JARRY REPLACED
Tristan Jarry went to the showers after the first period. He gave up four goals on just seven shots. Casey DeSmith took over. Since returning from chronic hip pain, Jarry hasn’t looked like a number one goaltender. He has a 4.21 GAA and .863 save percentage in nine games. .

Injured in a shoulder during the visit to Los Angeles, Justin Barron has returned to his position on the blue line against the Penguins. He had been absent from the last six games. He replaced Chris Wideman.
