There’s no reason it should always be the same people having fun! Assassin’s Creed, Call of Duty, Spider-man 2, Forza Motorsport… This year 2023the greats have had many video gamesjust for them, to sink their teeth into!
And the toddlers in all of that ? If video game publishers consider that children generally have their first contact with a controller around 3 years old (the famous PEGI 3 on the box), the latter are not left out.
And for future little geeks, here is a selection of titles, just for ages 3-10who can deserve their place in Santa’s sack…
1 – The Smurfs 2: the prisoner of the green stone
Heroes of a comic book and an animated series adapted countless times into video games, The Smurfs are back on console, with The Smurfs 2: The Prisoner of the Green Stonea game of Osome Studio pour Microids.
A 3D adventure platform game. A “Ratchet & Clank” for little ones, in a way!
By mistake, the Smurfs break the Green Stone, releasing the evil Stolas, a scourge of a new order determined to reign in terror and sow chaos.

Of this new game The Smurfs, we like a successful artistic direction, a varied journey in diverse worlds, pleasant mechanics to learn, and an atmosphere worthy of the best platform games.
On the other hand, the game presents some difficulty peaksand excessively long levels, which may put off younger children… But if mom or dad is nearby to help, everything should go well.

2 – Dino Ranch: Rescue Mission
Inspired by the TV series of the same name (broadcast on Gulli), Dino Ranch: Rescue Mission is an adventure game/mini-game developed by Redox Interactive, and published by Microids. We find there the little ones’ favorite ranch, as well as the three heroes Jon, Min and Migueland their dinosaurs, Blitz the raptor, Clover the brontosaurus, and Tango le tricératops.
With its very accessible language and its very simple mini-games (beyond 6 years old, failure is almost impossible), the game was designed for the target audience of the series: 3-6 year olds. And at an age where little ones love dinosaurs, the game hits the mark!
Quite visually pretty, with its atmosphere as nice as it is cute, and its fun mini-games, it constitutes the ideal candidate pour introducing toddlers to video games ! After 6 years, however, the lack of challenge and the overly childish side may be off-putting (but amusing all the same).

3 – Paw Patrol World: Paw Patrol
Any self-respecting parent has probably already heard of puppies. Chase, Ruben, Marcus, Zuma, Stella or Rocky!
When the inhabitants of The Great Valley need help, they go on a mission with their machines, under the orders of their young human master Ryder. They are there Paw Patrolchildren’s favorite super-dogs!

4 – Sisters 2: Network Stars
Do you know Wendy et Marinethe two sisters invented by William (William Maury), comic book heroines Les Sisters published by Bamboo? Who doesn’t know the famous Baby Shark? Created by the South Korean educational entertainment company Pinkfongthe favorite shark of 3-6 year olds accumulates more than 13 billion views on YouTube with its clip Baby Shark. For the first time, Baby Shark and his family are coming to console and PC.
Developed by Outright Games and published by Bandai Namco, Baby Shark : Sing & Swim Party is a musical game. It revolves around two phases of gameplay. This is undoubtedly the most eco-friendly of our selection. In Dolphin Spirit: Ocean Missionyou choose to play as Pava (a girl) or Avi (a boy), who arrives on vacation with her grandfather on the Polynesian island of Mauripoa. A storm has just passed, and the ocean is plagued by pollution.
The game is divided into two parts: underwater exploration where you will be accompanied by Keanu the dolphin, and exploration of the island.
In both cases, you will have to collect waste, take photos of wildlife, help injured or poisoned animals… And solve puzzles linked to the spirits of the oceans.
We liked the unique atmosphere of this title. Without being moralistic, he explains ecology to children in simple words. The game is not very complicated, but once finished, you find yourself taking a few underwater trips with Keanu, just for fun. In other words, it’s a bit Our favorite…

7 – Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 : Turbocharged

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged is a very good racing game. And if we dared, we would even say that it constitutes the perfect “Gran Turismo” or “Forza” for children! Alas, we all know how it’s going to end: we give it to the little ones for Christmas, but it’s dad who spends sleepless nights over it!

8- Dinosaurs : Mission Dino Camp
The last title in our selection is a toy derivative product, developed by Wild River Games. The game Dinosaurs : Mission Dino Camp takes us into a world where children’s figurines from the German brand Schleich, and more particularly those from the series Dinosaurscame alive.
As a member of Team Dino, the young player embarks on an adventure deep in the jungle, to find and save the legendary giant creatures. They will need to be cared for and cured using plants and medicines. We will be able to come across creatures like the Brontosaurus, the Velociraptor, the powerful T-Rex…
Visually, the game is not among the prettiest, and it severely lacks rhythm. However, for its accessibility, its low price, and the presence of children’s favorite “monsters”, it earns its place in this ranking.
This is clearly not the best game in the selection, but it will please children. At this price, it can therefore complete the hood.
