John Riccitiello, the boss of the American video game software company Unity, resigned on Monday, following a controversy surrounding a commission applied to developers who use this software. Unity programs are used to edit thousands of games and applications, such as the very popular Pokemon Go.

The company created controversy by deciding to apply a commission of 20 cents, paid by developers, each time an application using its software was downloaded to a phone or tablet.
