VIDEO: Hero neighbors in Villa Urquiza, arrested a motorbike with crates of vegetables and a helmet

It was this Friday in Triumvirate and Mendoza. The neighbors managed to subdue one of the thieves and his accomplice escaped on a motorcycle. They also recovered the victim’s phone.

In an act of insecurity that is tragicomic, a young woman was assaulted by two motorcycles in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Villa Urquiza, but the Neighbors and merchants managed to capture one of the criminals with the help of a motorcycle helmet and a vegetable crate.

The robbery took place this Friday morning, at exactly 9:07 a.m., on Mendoza street almost at the corner of Triunvirato, a very busy area with several businesses stationed on that block. There, the two thieves on a motorcycle high cylinder capacity surprised a woman and they took his cell phone.

Desperate, the girl began to run to the motochorros and to shout very loudly “they robbed me, they robbed me”. Thus, was that the merchants joined and decided to intervene.

the whole sequence was recorded by the camera of a local located on Mendoza and the heroic attitude of the neighbors is clearly seen.

First, the owner of a locksmith – who was at the door and saw how the woman desperately ran away from the criminals – acted on reflex, he took a helmet he had on hand and threw it at one of the thieveswho fell to the ground and hit his head on a flowerpot.

Quickly, the assailant got up and continued his escape. However, behind him came a neighbor and a greengrocer, who with a wooden box he tried to lower it and that’s how it was: The motorcycle fell again and was reduced by the neighbors, who rescued the victim’s cell phone and handed it over to the police.

While, his accomplice fled cowardly on the motorcycle they were riding and so far he has not been arrested.

The locksmith who prevented the offender from escaping spoke with TN and recounted the sequence: “The store had just opened and I heard a girl yelling that she was being robbed. I went out there to see what was happening.”

“When I see that the motochorros come back on the same path, I get scared. I closed the door because I thought I was going to be robbed. But then I grabbed the first thing that came to hand and there was the case, that’s why I hit him with a ‘hard hat’. When I hit him I couldn’t believe it. In that I see the greengrocer, who is our neighbor, who comes running with a box, ”he continued with his story.

“We cornered him among all the neighbors and we managed to get the girl to get her phone back. They were beating him and then the police just arrived,” added the locksmith.
