Vigil is held for Argentine fan who suffered a heart attack in Miami – NBC Miami (51)

Family and friends of an Argentine fan who died in Miami after apparently suffering a heart attack held a vigil in his honor on Sunday.

The gathered people remembered the life of Fernando Troncoso, a soccer lover who, emotional after the victory of the Argentina team against Mexico in the FIFA World Cup on Saturday, November 26, suffered an apparent heart attack and died.

Also tonight, his daughter Micaela and other loved ones are demanding answers.

The case reached notoriety because a video in which a good Samaritan assisted Troncoso and applied cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques went viral.

Fernando’s brother, children and loved ones remembered the producer and media personality in Argentina and Miami at this emotional vigil on Normandy Drive in North Miami Beach where the accident occurred.

And in the midst of her mourning, the daughter of the deceased says she feels hurt because according to her, the police, firefighters and hospitals did not inform her about her father’s death last Saturday even though she was looking for him for two days.

“The neighbor revived him and saw him get into the ambulance alive,” says Micaela.

Micaela says she called area hospitals, including Mount Sinai, where he had been taken, and it wasn’t until she saw the video on social media that she contacted a friend of her father’s and finally learned that he had died.

“We are left with the question of how exactly my father died, the witnesses tell us one thing and the hospitals another,” laments Micaela.
