The 300 dancers of the Villeurbannais group in the Biennale parade presented their choreography, in costume and to music, in the streets of the city on Saturday 2 September.
Led by choreographer Nathalie Pernette, hedgehogs, lizards, lions, turtles, sheep, dolphins, rats and foxes (the names of the groups into which the dancers are divided) rehearsed one last time their Haka, in a choreography imagined to unite arts and sports, and symbolize the energy of “the Villeurbanne tribe, joyful, fierce and complicit“, in the words of Nathalie Pernette.

300 Villeurbannais marched in Villeurbanne on September 2 to prepare for the Dance Biennial
Spectators were able to discover the Villeurbannais haka imagined by Nathalie Pernette and the Frappaz workshops
Hedgehogs, turtles, lions, sheep, lizards, dolphins, rats, foxes… the 300 dancers are divided into 9 groups of emblematic animals to represent Villeurbanne during the parade on September 10 in Lyon.
