The host of Buenos Días a Todos recalled how she experienced the last edition of the Viña del Mar Festival, which was marked by social outburst.
On Tuesday night, Julio César Rodríguez shared with the cheerleader of Good morning to allMaría Luisa Godoy in a new chapter of but with respect. There, Godoy talked both about his intimate life and about his work projects, such as the Viña del Mar Festival.
In it, Godoy recounted how he made the decision to lead the festival, noting that the 2019 version was “very different from 2020.”
And it is that, in addition to having animated the event with four months of pregnancy, the journalist had to face the viñamarino festival in the midst of the social outbreak. It was at that moment that Godoy revealed that “Vina was saved by Ricky Martin”.
In this regard, Godoy recalled a series of events that took place on the first day of the conference, where had already studied “certain keys in case something muddy happened” on the outskirts of Quinta Vergara.
“We didn’t know if Viña was done,” admitted Godoy, later telling that the festival team called for calm because they would have an opening event full of artists to remember the national culture.
“But then, 20 minutes before going on air, they call us to the bubble. There the executives tell us: ‘there is no overture, they will enter a cappellayou leave Mari and then comes Martin”, he recalled.
At first, Godoy believed that it was a joke made at a bad time, but everything became more tense when they were shown that there were barricades outside the Hotel O’Higginswhere the artists of the overture were staying, who could not leave the building.
He also said that there were barricades on the outskirts of Quinta Vergara, where, for these reasons, “many people were left out.”
“Ricky Martin entered lying in his truck, because they were throwing stones at him”he remembered.
It is because of this same tension that the Puerto Rican singer started receiving calls from all over the international letter to know if how was the situation in the event.
“There Ricky lowered his profile in a way… (he told them) ‘no, nothing happens, come,'” Godoy said.
“At the end, they were calling him to evaluate if they were coming or notand thanks to the fact that he lowered his profile, everyone came,” he added.
“Just like Maroon 5, he could have asked them not to come,” Rodríguez joked, to change the topic of conversation.
