Vincent Bolloré appoints his eldest son, Sébastien, Deputy CEO of his group

But the real withdrawal of the media magnate finally seems further away than expected, as the issues to be settled (takeover bid for Lagardère, sale of the African logistics branch) are still numerous.

The most discreet of the four children, Sébastien, 44, has until now been confined to a research and development role in new technologies for the group. He lives mainly in Australia and now takes an operational role in the holding company.

The youngest, Yannick Bolloré, 42, chairs the supervisory board of the French media giant Vivendi (Canal+, Havas, Editis), controlled at 29.5% by all the companies in the group. He is also CEO of the communications subsidiary Havas.

The third son, Cyrille, 36, is CEO of the Bolloré group and is responsible in particular for transport and logistics in Africa and abroad, as well as oil logistics.

The youngest, Marie, is president of the Fondation de la 2e chance, the group’s charity, after a stint at the head of the electric battery business.
