Tomáš Vincour decided to end his rich playing career at the age of 33. The long-time striker of the mother Kometa will become a new member of the sports section of the club, which announced its end on its website.
“The end had to come. I received an interesting offer to work for the club, to expand the team in the sports section. I would like to return to Comet what she gave me. I’m looking forward to it and I believe that my work will fulfill me and I will be beneficial to the club,” reports Tomáš Vincour.
“One door has closed, another is opening, and I’m looking forward to what’s behind that other door. I am also very happy to stay in the hockey environment. I grew up in Kometa, I have a strong relationship with her, and I would like to give her back everything she gave me in my life,” he adds.
He will gradually get to know everything, gather experience from Libor Zábranský, Pavel Zubíček and others. “One of my activities will be scouting, I will select players from the first league, from the extra league, watch youth players, in short, potential reinforcements for Kometa,” he explains.

“My function will continue to evolve and we’ll see how I deal with it. Anyway, I’m looking forward to this challenge,” continues the native of Brno, who played 296 extra league games for Kometa with a balance of 123 points (57+66) and helped them to championship titles in 2017 and 2018.
He also played for Hradec Králové, collecting a total of 364 starts and 160 points (82+78) among the domestic elite. He also tried the best competition in the world, playing in 95 games in the NHL for Dallas and Colorado, spent two years in the Russian KHL and also played 23 games for the national team.
