Alain Finkielkraut was on Europe 1 this weekend and he denounced the violence which followed the victory of Morocco, in particular in Paris on the Champs-Elysées and he did not hesitate to denounce the “Francophobia” which would settle according to him in France.
For the philosopher:
“I’m obviously a bit sad about the incidents that followed Morocco’s victory in Paris and very worried about the France-Morocco match which will take place on Wednesday. What will happen? I’m afraid that the illusion of living together in which the well-meaning press makes us live is going to take a big hit.
Today there are supporters who, not content with celebrating the victory of their country of origin, must hit, destroy, ransack everything that moves, and also go after the police.
This is further proof that Francophobia is an increasingly widespread feeling in France.”
