It was a real beating that took place in Huy on October 31, 2020. A young Hutois, then aged 16, fell into an ambush behind the Huy station. He was hit, his things were stolen and he found himself in his underwear in a nearby park. The young man then managed to find refuge with a person living on rue Saint-Ivette, who contacted the police.
To the police, the victim explained that the events took place around noon in a park behind the station. There, he found several other young people, one of whom was an adult (born in 2001), who extorted him. One of the defendants allegedly dragged him into a bush out of sight where the three others were. It was then that one of the young people undressed him, then had his hands held, took off his sneakers, put on his underwear, stole his objects and beat him, while his girlfriend, who allegedly complaint to others of harassment on the part of the boy, filmed the scene.
A mobile phone, a charger, a pair of sports shoes, two silver rings and a train/bus subscription were stolen from the victim.
The cell phone will be found in one of the people identified by the young man.
For these facts, the adult defendant, born in Namur and domiciled in Tinlot, received a heavy sentence of twelve months in prison. The latter failed at the hearing which took place last September.
The other people, minors, did not appear before the criminal court.
