Through her Twitter account, a user from Spain showed what happened when the owner of the apartment in which she lives hinted that she was going to raise the rental price. “The landlord has attacked again, but he has not counted on my hidden letter,” wrote the Internet user, identified on the aforementioned social network as @ Alcachofitaa2.
The young woman, whose boyfriend is a lawyer, published a screenshot of the conversation she had with the owner of the apartment, after informing him that the house that had been bought was delayed for three months and that they had been forced to stay longer in that space.
“Well, we have to talk, because we have to raise the rent,” the landlord responded to the tenant, who seems to have prepared himself in case the tenant gave such a response. “Well, it would be the 2% that the interurban lease law marks, which would be seven euros. So no problem,” she wrote.
However, the owner did not feel satisfied and warned: “We talked about it. It would not be seven euros ”. “Yes, it would be seven euros,” the user says again before asking her to speak to her partner, who is a lawyer.
“It bothers me a little to have to send the man in this case, but hey, here it is that the man has technical knowledge. Basically I have done a ‘talk to my lawyer’”, added the young woman.
For his part, the boyfriend told the landlord: “we are going to pay you the 2% increase, if you do not accept it you can sue us and if you do not want to take the money, we will record it in court and you will explain it to them there.” because the deposit is not in the AVRA”.
