Vivanta Dental Clinics Close Leaving Patients With Unfinished Treatments

An automated telephone message greets anyone calling Oralis in Seville: Nuestras clínicas han cerrado temporalmente su actividad. Disculpen las molestias. This establishment has ceased operations, leaving numerous patients with unfinished treatments that they had already begun paying for, as reported by El Correo de Andalucía.

Oralis belongs to the Vivanta dental clinic group, a company that entered into insolvency proceedings (concurso de acreedores) in September and has likewise closed its centers. The websites for both companies are disabled. Vivanta’s website states that debido a la suspensión temporal de la actividad asistencial actualmente no disponemos de medios para prestar atención odontológica. Attempts by the newspaper to contact both entities have received no response.

Impact on Patients and Financial Profiles

The situation has created uncertainty for clients who do not know when they can resume their treatments or what will happen to their money. According to Facua, there are two profiles of affected individuals. Patients who financed their treatments must request the suspension of payments through their financial institution. Meanwhile, those who paid the clinic directly face a more complicated situation; if the company ends up in liquidation, they must claim the owed amounts and wait to see if the procedure allows them to recover at least part of their money, which depends on the available funds in the insolvency proceedings.

Administración Concursal Launches Sales Process to Revive Clinics

The Insolvency Administration (Administración Concursal) has initiated a sales process for the clinics aimed at reactivating activity and guaranteeing the continuity of treatments. Vivanta indicated in a statement that it expects to close the sales process in the coming weeks and asked patients to provide their contact information to receive updates on a possible reopening.

Vivanta's website advises patients experiencing pain, inflammation, infection, bleeding, or other complications to visit a professional or healthcare center promptly, and to call 112 for severe symptoms such as difficulty breathing or swallowing, rapidly increasing facial or cervical swelling, or heavy bleeding that does not stop.
