A Vivo is wanting to speed up the Open Gateway advancement and for that, it opened a call for Brazilian companies. For those who don’t know, this initiative aims to provide a global innovation in the Telecommunications industry. The initial launch took place in February this year and was supported by more than 20 operators worldwide.

This action should select companies of all sizes for the Telefónica Open Gateway Early Adopter Program. In this sense, this initiative is of particular interest to companies that want to improve aspects such as authentication and network traffic optimization, as well as anti-fraud flows. Debora Bortolasi is B2B Executive Director at Vivo and commented:

For years we have been one of the main brands that encourage the Brazilian innovation ecosystem, investing and doing business with startups or more mature companies. This call represents yet another opportunity to get closer to Vivo, this time being able to participate in a global and priority initiative for the telecommunications sector. The standardization brought by Open Gateway will allow developers to act on a global scale

Selected companies will have early access to Vivo’s network APIs in a real environment. That is, they will be able to check the application interfaces that allow communication between different platforms or network functions. Thus, Open Gateway will enable developers to offer services on a global scale.

According to Vivo itself, this call can be a great opportunity for companies to participate in a global and priority initiative for the technology sector. However, it is worth mentioning that there is a development schedule for new functions that will be exposed by the APIs. Entries can be made until September 4th through the following link:
