Vladimir Putin attacks the “dominant West”: return on a speech in four points

The sequence was planned. At the end of a mock “referendum” organized under the guns, Vladimir Putin announced Friday the attachment to Russia of four regions of southern Ukraine that Russian troops only partly control. Welcoming hundreds of officials to the Kremlin, including the four governors of these Ukrainian regions placed in their post by Moscow, the Russian president attacked Westerners, and particularly the United States, even more violently than in the past.
