Georgia Balke has been invited by the ZDF television station to take part and sing in the program “Ein Herz für Kinder” on Saturday, December 17th at 8:15 p.m.
“When I first heard that and read the email, I thought it was just a dream,” says Georgia. And further: “It is a great honor for me to be able to sing in this well-known show and also to be able to make a small contribution to the fundraising”.
The show has high ratings every year
After the twelve-year-old recently gave her first concert on the island of Föhr, the next highlight awaits today.
The show has been held regularly in December for years and has one of the highest ratings of entertainment programs on German television.
The program is a combination of TV music show, reporting, benefit and fundraising gala. This program collects between ten and 20 million euros in donations every year.
Children from Ukraine are also supported
The money is used to support children’s clinics, kindergartens, families with seriously ill or disabled children, especially in war or disaster areas, for example for children in the Ukraine.
This year singers such as Vanessa Mai, Roland Kaiser, Shirin David, Alvaro Soler and Queen Silvia of Sweden are taking part. Johannes B. Kerner will be the moderator. (we)
