The terrorists who attacked Crocus City Hall were recruited through the Voice of Khorasan Telegram channel, transmits March 27 RIA Novosti with reference to its source. According to the agency, the channel, which had already been deleted at the time of publication, belonged to the Afghan wing of the Islamic State* (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation) and was aimed at an audience in Tajikistan.
“During the operational search activities, it was established that the same Telegram channel recruited the persons who committed the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall,” RIA Novosti quotes the source as saying.
Let us remind you that in St. Petersburg on March 27, the court brought to administrative responsibility the citizen of Tajikistan Akhmad Faizulokhonzoda. He violated immigration laws, but this was not the most significant reason for his expulsion from Russia.
Something else caught the court’s attention. Faizulokhonzoda was a member of a telegram channel where a terrorist organization recruited individuals to carry out terrorist attacks in Russia. The perpetrators of the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall on March 22 were recruited from the same community, the joint press service of the St. Petersburg courts reported.
As a result, the court imposed a fine of 5 thousand rubles on the citizen of Tajikistan with forced deportation from Russia. For now he was placed in a temporary detention center for foreign citizens and stateless persons.
