Volkswagen is getting closer to presenting the new generation amarokpick-up that will become the sister to the next generation Ford Ranger (already introduced and in 2023 it will be manufactured in Argentina). Produced in South Africa will reach different parts of the world, although at least in Argentina the current edition will continue to be manufactured in Pacheco (later the Tarok would be producedpick-up compacta).
For now there is no news of a possible arrival in the country (including there had been talk of the possibility of manufacturing it here, but the project was abandoned), but there is still little time left for the world presentation.
Although it will share several elements with the oval pick-up, it will have a clear Volkswagen DNA (keeping its square lines), and until now was seen on certain occasions in teaser images, “extreme” photos and even in tests with extensive camouflage. In turn, it is expected to have a R versionwhich would become sister of the next Ranger Raptor (it already has a presentation date).
under the hood, should have the same mechanics as the Ford product, although at the moment there are no official details. While we wait for more news, during the last days New photos were presented that show us what the truck will look like on the sides, in the rear and inside.
Regarding the posterior area, will have C-shaped headlights, while on the box will have a roll bar similar to that of the current Extreme variant. Inside doors, stands out a multifunction steering wheel, full digital instrumentation, electronic parking brake, drive mode selector, automatic transmission, and a central console composed of a vertical touch screen.
