The Olympic Games, “priority objective”
This season, his personal and sporting integration into the Italian club is going perfectly and his international career has turned to Bleu Horizon: captain of a French team that reached the quarter-final at the last European Championships (beaten 3 / 1 by Serbia, Olympic bronze medalist and reigning champion). In the viewfinder obviously the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
“The ultimate goal,” she confirms. It is certain that with the France team our priority objective is the Olympic Games… But, before that, there are all the same a lot of stages to achieve. Patient and lucid
Captain Héléna adds: “We will take things step by step. The Olympics are over two years away. There is still work to be done. Captain, I was last year in Mulhouse because the holder was injured. It’s a role that I really like… It gives me even more energy. “On her life and her nascent journey in Italy, Héléna is just as serene, patient and lucid:” In France, I had done a little tour: three different clubs where I stayed three years each time. In Italy, it’s a big big championship, much more physical. I am in the process of accumulating playing time. At the start, inevitably, I made a few comebacks. My goal is obviously to be a regular in my club. “

A provisional “bench” status which nevertheless remains new for Audoise: “Totally. It’s true. Going through the training sessions and waiting for it to pay off… (smile). The integration is going really well and the coach, Giulio Bergoli is really great. In addition, he speaks French since he has long coached Saint-Raphaël in Ligue A. In Italy, during the phases of the game, you have to adapt a lot more. I feel that I am progressing and that I am putting more strings to my bow. There is something positive, for sure. But, I always want more and I will not stop there! “
