Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been the first to speak with British Prime Minister Liz Truss since she took office. He also invited her to Ukraine.

“I became the first foreign leader to speak with newly elected Prime Minister Liz Truss. Invited her to Ukraine. I thanked the people of Great Britain for the great defense and economic assistance to Kyiv to fight Russia,” Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on Twitter (blocked in the Russian Federation).

He also said that he had discussed with Truss the participation of Britain in the restoration of Ukraine, further coordination in putting pressure on Russia. Summing up, Zelensky said that he would continue active interaction with the British prime minister in all formats.
