In response to a media query in the past few days, the Vienna State SPÖ stated that the political orientation of ‘Der Funke’ was not compatible with its values - a statement that takes on a new dimension with the contributions that have now become known. “From our point of view, the first step that needs to be taken now is to immediately distance the mayor of Vienna and the state party chairman from the SPÖ federal party chairman – we cannot go back to the agenda here,” concluded Mahrer.
