At the start of the year, Euro-Leasing GmbH presented itself as an employer: at the job fair in Hamburg, the company’s own brand “VW FS | Rent-a-Car” as an exhibitor about professional opportunities. New customer advisors were sought, especially for the Hamburg location. Numerous interested parties expressed their interest in being contacted by the rental specialist of the VW Group using a form at the trade fair stand in the Hamburg Cruise Center Altona directly on the Elbe. Some CVs were handed out in paper form on site. All data and follow-up calls are already being viewed.
“The classic application process is no longer up to date. We have had great experiences with job fairs on several occasions. And even if you didn’t have time, you are welcome to contact us. We are still looking for staff, also in other areas,” says Jelena Stojkovic from the regional management north at Euro-Leasing. She is confident that she will be able to fill the vacancies for the Hamburg location.
Employees from the Hamburg region explained the work of the rental specialist to visitors to the job fair: “I am delighted that I was there and was able to get to know potential colleagues directly. In addition, I was able to give them direct insights into my day-to-day work,” recalls a customer advisor of his time at the trade fair. His team leader adds: “It is important to me to be involved in the selection of new colleagues at an early stage. The talks with the young people were very valuable. Above all, I can give direct and personal answers to their questions.”
The prospects remember other things: “An employer who pays for the gym? Where can you get that?”, “Finally away from the weekend work. At the moment I only work every weekend” and “I was able to get a first impression of the team at the Hamburg locations” were just some of the written feedback.
In addition to the career opportunities in Hamburg, jobs in the IT sector are also advertised throughout Germany. (aum/av)
