Vyakhireva responded to the words of Trefilov, who condemned the move of the athlete to Norway

Olympic champion in handball in 2016, six-time Russian champion, player of the Norwegian club Vipers Kristiansand, Russian Anna Vakhireva spoke about the words of the ex-mentor of the Russian women’s handball team Evgenia Trefilovawho previously called the athlete’s move to Norway an escape.

“In fact, I don’t really understand how Trefilov is connected with my move and why he can comment on it. Yes, he is a coach. I do not argue, we have achieved a lot with him, I do not detract from anyone’s merits. But I believe that it is solely my business where I live and what I do.

A lot of talk goes around athletes who are leaving. And everyone thinks we’re leaving for the money. But this is not true at all. I left because of handball. I left because I wanted to play at a high level, to develop. In Russia, this cannot be done, but I would make good money. Now I have lost money. I lost a lot, ”said Vyakhireva in an interview on YouTube channel Vity Kravchenko.
