WAEMU: increase in tax revenue in the first quarter of 2022

Tax revenues increased by 9.7% year-on-year during the first quarter of 2022, according to the latest monetary policy report from the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO) published under the month of June. Indeed, the table of financial operations of the Member States of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) shows that the 8 countries of the region collected 3,286.9 billion FCFA in tax revenue as of March 31, 2022, against 2,997 .6 billion as of March 31, 2021.
