Meeting on March 14, 2024 under the presidency of Boubker Jaï, the Wafa Assurance company achieved a turnover of 11.1 billion dirhams (or approximately 1.1 billion dollars), an increase of 7.1%. The life activity amounted to 6.2 billion dirhams, an increase of 5.6% driven by the performance in savings and protection. The result of this branch stood at 464 million dirhams, an increase of 1.5% following the growth in savings and death activity.
The non-life branch achieved a turnover of 4.8 billion dirhams, an increase of 9.1% driven by performances across all of its components. The result at this level is estimated at 436 million dirhams, an increase compared to the 2022 financial year (157 million dirhams).
As for the net profit of Wafa Assurance, it amounts to 701 million dirhams, an increase of 15%. Social equity is estimated at 6,601 million dirhams, up 3.9%.
In addition to Morocco, the Wafa Assurance company is also present in five other African countries, namely Senegal, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Tunisia and Egypt.
