Rapper Wale and his management company EQT have announced the return of Gifted Week for its third consecutive year, a four-day celebration of DMV culture set for November 17–20. This year’s programming carries the theme “Ambition,” marking the 15th anniversary of Wale’s 2011 album, and will feature workshops, youth clinics, panels, community service initiatives, and a Foundation Gala across Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.
The initiative aims to connect local youth with industry leaders across sports, entertainment, business, and the arts. “When I put out Ambition in 2011, I wanted to put the DMV on the map,” Wale said. “Fifteen years later, our culture continues to influence the mainstream, but my love for my hometown is what motivates me to create these opportunities for the next generation coming out of the region.” “Gifted Week is about recognizing the talent that exists in our community, and giving people the resources to turn their ambitions into something real.” With a 20-year rap career, Wale continues to invest in the next generation of DMV talent.
Four Themed Days Across the DMV
The 2026 schedule spans November 17–20, with each day highlighting a different facet of the region. Stefon Diggs Headlines My Cleats, My Cause Charity Campaign
Beyond the daily programming, Gifted Week will platform a week-long charitable campaign called My Cleats, My Cause, featuring Washington Commanders wide receiver Stefon Diggs. Fans can enter a fundraising raffle through Fandiem, with a special cleat design activation scheduled during Friday’s sneaker workshop. Giant Food, a leading grocery retailer in the greater Washington, D.C. region, joins as a community partner. Additional participating talent and event details remain to be announced in the lead-up to the annual tradition.
