Wall Street closes higher ahead of the Fed

The Dow Jones index advanced 0.98%, the tech-heavy Nasdaq climbed 1.58% and the S&P 500 1.30%, preliminary results show.

The New York Stock Exchange concluded higher on Tuesday, on the eve of a monetary decision by the Fed, while the banking tumults calmed down, giving way to a rebound in the securities of regional banks.
