Wall Street’s major indexes rose at the open on expectations that the Federal Reserve has finished its monetary tightening cycle, while investors await comments from a slew of policymakers later in the week.
According to Archyde.com, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 31.29 points, or 0.09 percent, at the opening to 34,092.61 points.
The Standard & Poor’s 500 index opened up 5.93 points, or 0.14 percent, to 4,364.27 points. The Nasdaq Composite Index gained 35.80 points, or 0.27 percent, to 13,514.08 at the open.
