At war against multiple enemies, the DRC is experiencing a huge problem in the management of its territory following the absence of a military force capable of taking stock. According to Peter Kazadi, the army does not have generals with character.
Peter Kazadi Kakonde announced this during an exchange Monday, March 18, with the provincial commissioners of the Congolese National Police on several security issues.
“The greatness of the army lies not in its armor, but in the strength of character of its generals. If today we are mistreated by Rwanda, it is because some of our generals do not have strength of character,” he declared.
According to anonymous sources consulted by ActuRDC, several Congolese generals involved in the clashes in the East are men in the pay of Rwanda. According to our sources, sums of money would be paid into the accounts of these men in uniform in order to weaken the Congolese lines; strategy that would work well in today’s era where Congolese territory remains under the control of the attackers.
“Generals and other senior officers are bought by Rwanda whose desire is to continue working on Congolese soil. We can say anything, but the evil is deep,” we learned. “These men without any patriotic sense would have each received $50,000 to open the breaches to rebel groups, thus putting the population and the soldiers in danger.”
Note that the Congolese government remains aware that Rwanda wants to take Congolese wealth by force and it is in the process of taking them.
