The Ukrainian army recently launched a counter-offensive there, trying to recover the areas taken by Moscow in the wake of the launch of its invasion in late February. According to an adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Oleksiy Arestovych, the Russians are “tactically surrounded” near the town of Vyssokopillia. They reportedly attempted a breakthrough on Thursday, he reported Friday night.
