Archyde: “The Poison Touch” feels like a love letter to ‍classic ⁤retro rock. ⁢ What bands ⁤and eras fueled ‌the creative fire for this album?

George Baba: absolutely, those influences definitely run deep within us. We’re huge⁣ fans of Black Sabbath,⁣ of course, but also Ghost, Doctor Smoke, Uncle Acid ‍and the Deadbeats – bands that masterfully blend that heavy, grooving sound with a dark, mystical edge. We wanted ‍to capture that essence, inject it with our own energy and ⁤create something that felt both familiar and fresh.

George Baba: Definitely!‌ We wanted to ‍kick things off with a raucous, infectious track that would instantly grab‌ the listener. Musically, “Digital Smoke” embodies that raw energy we were aiming for, and I think people who dig those classic stoner and doom ‍sounds will promptly connect with it.

Archyde: “Spell ⁣Speaker” is an absolute epic, clocking in at almost ⁣nine minutes. Was crafting that lengthy, atmospheric journey a intentional artistic choice?

George Baba: We wanted to create a ‍piece that was‌ immersive, a soundscape that would transport⁢ the listener ‍to another place. We draw a lot of inspiration from bands like Iron Butterfly‍ and, of‌ course, Sabbath, who excel at building tension and atmosphere. So, yes, that⁣ length was intentional – we wanted to give the song room to breathe, to‌ evolve and take the listener on a full-fledged journey.

Archyde: What excites you most about ‍the release of “The Poison Touch”?⁣ What are ⁢your hopes⁣ for ⁣this⁤ album?

George Baba: Honestly, just sharing our music with the world and seeing how people react is the best part. ⁢We poured our hearts and souls into this album, and we’re incredibly proud of the result. Hopefully, it connects with fans of stoner rock, doom, and classic hard⁢ rock – and maybe even introduces some new people to our sound.

Archyde: For those who haven’t discovered Warlung yet, what would you say to entice them to give “The Poison Touch” a listen?

George Baba: If you’re‌ looking for an album that’s heavy, psychedelic, and just plain fun, then look no‍ further. “The Poison Touch” is about letting loose, embracing the darkness, ‌and rocking⁣ out. We guarantee ⁢you’ll be headbanging before you know it!
