2023-12-04 08:23:56

The Crustimex company is withdrawing frozen raw shrimp tails (28-33 pieces, 450g) from the Carrefour Simpl brand from sale and is recalling them from consumers due to the presence of vibrio vulnificus, the supermarket chain said on Monday.

The so-called “flesh-eating” bacteria Vibrio vulnificus can cause septicemia (generalized bacterial blood infection).

The shrimp tails were sold between 07/06/2023 and 11/13/2023 and have a minimum durability date of 12/22/2024. The lot concerned is the following: AI/22184 (2M23).

It is recommended that people who have these products not consume them and destroy them or return them to the point of sale where they will be refunded.
