Warriors’ New Big Three Shines in California Classic Victory

Draymond Green has re-signed, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson are still there. Alright, but what if we told you that the Warriors’ new Big Three was made up of Brandin Podziemski, Lester Quinones and Gui Santos? Funny names but guys who don’t joke at all on the floors of the Californian Summer League, Charlotte paid the price last night, to the delight of the Chef, like us, in front of the TV.

The boxscore of the match, in detail and in HD

We were talking to you a few days ago about the memory of Brandin Podziemski, we now know that the Warriors combo guard does not only use his brain to learn his lessons. Scoring and distribution to the hair, Brindille Podziemstruc (17 points, 5 assists) perfectly ensured the lead in the Dubs’ demonstration against the Hornets of a much less enterprising Brandon Miller. 7 points, all in the second half when the match was sealed, and 8 personal fouls (!) for the second choice of the last Draft. Yeah, the Summer League allows 10 fouls so might as well give the referees a job, huh.

But who needs Brandon Miller to enjoy a match when Gui Santos and Lester Quinones are on the floor? The two sophomores of Golden State swing from the stat while efficiency, and in addition they put the artistic note. 21 points for Lester the trigger, 18 for a Gui much closer to the circle, long live the Summer League.

Last sweetness of the Warriors? Kendric Davis and his 17 points at 3/6 behind the arc. Enough to give cold sweats to the James Bouknight watering can : as many 3-point shots to save 3. Well seen that’s 0. You have to take a look at the Bench of Bees to see a little positive with Amari Bailey and his 17 points in as many minutes: Amari, if you only knew… we would have been bored without you in Charlotte. 4am, if that’s not the time to give Johnny a shout out.

End of the “California Classic” in Sacramento for both teams: a second defeat for Buzz City and a first victory for the Dubs. A nice blowout and things that don’t change… even in summer, Charlotte doesn’t make you dream.
