Al-Marsad Newspaper: Former Kuwaiti MP Walid Al-Tabtabaei said that the amount of money stolen in Kuwait over 10 years is equivalent to what was spent in Qatar to organize the World Cup.
Al-Tabtabaei added in a symposium titled “Kuwait, where to…and for how long?” Kuwait has more human, legal and infrastructure capabilities than Qatar.
He explained that during the past ten years and before that, there was a weakening and exclusion of the state’s media institutions, the institution of the Council of Ministers, the National Assembly, and others.
It is noteworthy that some estimates indicated that hosting the World Cup cost Qatar about $ 220 billion, since it was chosen to host the World Cup in 2010.
