The appetite for luxury and high-end continues unabated
The Watches & Wonders trade fair and the parallel events open a year that should still break all records.
Palexpo has redeployed the carpet to welcome the cream of watchmaking brands from Monday for the second edition of Watches & Wonders, totally face-to-face. Forty-eight brands present their new products, including ten new ones, including Frédérique Constant, Alpina Watches, Hysek and Bell & Ross. The meeting, which took over from the late SIHH, is being held under the leadership of the Richemont group, with the assistance of Patek Philippe and Rolex. It clearly fills a void, since last year 22,000 visitors came through the doors, and the digital audience is estimated by the organizers at some 300 million people worldwide. The benefits for the City are estimated at some 150 to 200 million francs.
