Al-Marsad newspaper: The artist, Hassan Youssef, revealed the details of the dialogue that took place with Sheikh Al-Shaarawy regarding “Is art haram or halal?”
And “Youssef” said during his stay as a guest, on the “Kalam Al-Nass” program for the media, “Yasmine Ezz”, that when Sheikh Al-Shaarawy asked regarding “Is art haram or halal”, his answer came as follows: Again, there is wine in it. The fault is with the cup or the one who drinks it?!”
The artist, Hassan Youssef, mentioned Shaarawy’s advice to him, to stay away from trivial roles and to present roles that offer value and a good word, and to present personalities who talk regarding the imams of Islam.
The Egyptian artist pointed out that following that he presented the series “Imam of Preachers” regarding the life of Sheikh Al Shaarawy, and it was the first series to speak in the colloquial language regarding one of the preachers.
