Watch.. The first comment from an “official” at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh about the reason for the congestion of passengers

Al-Marsad newspaper: The Executive Vice President of the Operation Sector at King Khalid International Airport, Muhammad Al-Shammari, revealed the reason for the congestion of passengers and the congestion that occurred at the airport.

He explained during an interview with “Al-Ikhbariya” channel: “The crowding was due to the length of procedures for registering passengers traveling following recovering from the Corona pandemic and the various health requirements of the destinations that the passengers want to travel to.”

Regarding the most prominent solutions that were taken to break the congestion situation and return the situation to normal at King Khalid Airport, Al-Shammari said:

We worked with all our partners at the airport, whether airlines, airline operators or operating partners, to expedite travel procedures, and this contributed significantly to reducing congestion.”

He continued, “We have opened additional counters that were able to deal with passengers faster in cooperation with airlines, and electronic channels were prepared to register passengers electronically before their arrival at the airport.”

He concluded his speech by saying: “Passengers must come to the airport in sufficient time, as they arrive 3 hours before the international flight and the domestic flight 2 hours before.”
