Professionals linked to the environment will meet, next Wednesday (22), during the XV Meeting of Environmental Educators, in the auditorium of the Department of Roads and Highways of the DF (DER-DF). This year’s event has the theme “Water, Urbanization and Cerrado: Perspectives on Environmental Education”, led by teams from the Brasília Environmental Institute.
The meeting is organized by the Interinstitutional Commission for Environmental Education of the Federal District (Ciea-DF), a collegiate body that brings together government institutions and civil society to promote the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the District Environmental Education Plan (Pdea).
The XV Meeting of Environmental Educators of the DF aims to share knowledge and experiences. The event also aims to encourage public policies to promote environmental education in the DF through environmental educators, who play a crucial role as agents of transformation.
Ciea-DF is made up of a group of government institutions, such as the University of Brasília (UnB), Brasília Ambiental, Caesb, Federation of Industries of the Federal District (Fibra-DF), Forum of Environmental NGOs of the Federal District and Surrounding Area, Federal Institute of Brasília (IFB), Sebrae-DF and the local secretariats of Health (SES), Agriculture and Rural Development (Seagri), Education (SEE), Environment and Animal Protection (Sema) and Science, Technology and Innovation of the Federal District (Secti).
