Wayne Rooney predicts Argentina’s future at the World Cup

Argentina is one of the favorite teams to win the World Cup. But Argentina, led by superstar Lionel Messi, did not get the expected start in the Qatar World Cup. Argentina started the group stage competition with a shocking defeat to Saudi Arabia.

Argentina, who needed to win in the next matches to advance to the pre-quarters, won 2-0 in the encounter with Mexico and kept alive in the tournament. Argentina can only qualify for the knockout stage if they beat Poland in the final group game.

But if Argentina loses or draws against Poland or Saudi Arabia beats Mexico, Argentina will have to go out of the World Cup without seeing the prequarters.

Former England star Wayne Rooney is now predicting Argentina’s next matches. He said that Argentina will reach the semi-finals of the World Cup.

He added that Argentina will be one of the four teams to reach the semi-finals. Rooney also stated that his four semi-finalists are Brazil, Argentina, Belgium and England.

England currently lead Group B with four points and need a win or a draw against Iran to qualify for the knockouts. Brazil is at the top of Group G with six points.

Belgium, who started with a win over Canada, suffered a shock 0-2 defeat against Morocco to sit third in Group F. At the same time, Team Argentina is second in Group C with one win and one loss.
