The LITTLE ANGELS successors around mastermind Toby Jepson follow up and follow their 2021 “Even Up The Score” album with an EP called “Score Settled”. The almost 25-minute part offers the willing fan three songs, which were created during the recording sessions for the last album, and there are also three pieces, which “physically” have only been available on vinyl or a flexi-disc so far (does that still exist??? ) were available. In addition, you can listen to a Japanese bonus track, “Backslide”, which was recorded live in the studio.
The three new tracks “Beaten To The Punch”, “Can’t Take It Anymore” and “Real Go-Getta” are all fast rockers, which are anything but non-release material. On the contrary – no discarded goods were found. Also would have deserved a spot on a “regular” album instead of “just” an EP.
The slightly punky “Standby Heart” is just as fun as “Radio Denial” and the anthem “Totally Screwed”. “Backslide” also falls off just a bit.
Although all the songs are of pretty much the same style, they are all of high quality.
If I understand correctly, the EP is only available in very small numbers via the band’s own website (already “sold out”) or the official Frontiers shop. That leaves the option of the ugly online variant. Anyway, the songs are worth it. class band.
