O Waze has invested heavily in partnerships with celebrities and influencers to make the browsing experience in the app even more fun. After the action with the influencer “Luva de Pedreiro” for the World Cup, last year, it was time to Ivete Sangalo lend your voice to the software.
The partnership with the singer, who is one of the biggest symbols of Carnaval in Brazil, is part of a series of actions by Waze for the date — which this year will bring revelers to the streets in droves after two years of restrictions resulting from COVID-19.
As in the other times, activating the voice of Ivete Sangalo is quite simple, just tap on “My Waze” and then on the option “Drive with Ivete”. This is the same shortcut that also allows you to change the “Mood” (how you appear on the map) for the options “Harlequin”, “Columbine” e “Pierrot”as well as the vehicle icon for an electric trio.
The voice changer option can also be found by following the path Settings » Voice and Sound » Waze Voicewhile that of changing the vehicle icon — which can be carried out until March 12 — is in progress. Settings » Map Display » Vehicle Icon.
Leaving the fun field a little, Waze also promoted a partnership with the city halls of São Paulo (SP), Rio de Janeiro (RJ) and Salvador (BA) to signal street closures and detours in block exit areas and electric trios — work that will be done in real time by volunteer map editors.
