The Patriarch of the House of Cilicia for the Armenian Catholics, Raphael Bedros XXI Minassian, stated, during his meeting with Saudi Ambassador Walid Al-Bukhari at the Patriarchate’s headquarters in Beirut, “You know how big the burdens we carry in Lebanon and you are also aware of the suffering of the Armenian people in Artsakh. Therefore, we ask you to intervene in the case of Artsakh and work to find peaceful solutions for the sake of its peaceful people who love life and the other, because international and Arab intervention has become necessary to resolve these issues in it,” fully aware of Saudi Arabia’s love “for our homeland, Lebanon, and we ask it to work for its recovery.”
In turn, Al-Bukhari responded with a word of thanks in which he thanked “Menasian for his love and warm reception,” wishing “him, the church and the country a Merry Christmas.”
He affirmed “his confidence that Lebanon already possesses the intellectual and human capacity that helps to overcome crises and remove challenges,” affirming “his country’s commitment to Lebanon’s political, security and economic stability.”
