This Wednesday in the Meeting with Julio Villagrán program, the president of ADES Santa Marta, Vidalina Morales expressed that in rural communities there is a poor situation of access to basic services, especially the lack of water, which is one of the biggest problems.

He also recalled that Cabañas is one of the departments with the most poverty and that its inhabitants have been forced to migrate with a maximum schooling of ninth grade. He also highlighted that this is one of the consequences of not betting on agriculture.

“Agriculture has tended to decline, this is the most vital and basic element for our diet, but since there has not been a commitment to agriculture from the state itself, it has weakened the situation of food production in terms of agriculture,” Morales expressed

Regarding the Santa Marta case, Morales mentioned that the community continues to demand justice, remembering that they have been victims of the atrocities committed in the Civil War of El Salvador, waiting for the government to investigate it, but that the system has not managed to apply justice. and instead they have captured their companions.
