In the middle of his speech, the President had to interrupt himself after a soldier, placed just behind him, felt unwell. “I think we need to help him“, begins Emmanuel Macron. “We are going to interrupt ourselves so that there can be an intervention.”
Very quickly, the cameras turn away from the young woman, to film the rest of the assembly, visibly amused by the situation.
A few moments later, the President resumed his speech: “I assure you, it’s a vagal discomfort. It shouldn’t be serious“.
