We met Spot, Boston Dynamics’ robot dog

One of today’s best-known robots has finally come to France, and we had the opportunity to play with it: Spot is the quadruped model from Boston Dynamics, an American company now owned by the Korean giant Hyundai.

On sale from €70,000, this stuffed animal full of technologies remains intended for very targeted markets: science, security, reconnaissance…

Nevertheless, in contact with him, we were amazed, intrigued and anguished like children. With its Pixar character looks and surprisingly organic movements, Spot is arguably one of the most compelling tech projects of recent — and coming — years.
