A person died in the fire of a house located rue St-Jacques in Dinant, around half past midnight on the night of Monday to Tuesday.
Rescuers from the Dinaphi area went to the scene with two pumpers, a tank and a self-ladder. They evacuated two people, one of whom was transported to the CHU UCL Namur site in Dinant. “We deplore the death of a person despite all the efforts of the rescuers”, specifies Patrice Liétart, the spokesperson for the firefighters.
The mayor of Dinant, Thierry Bodlet, went to the scene. The judicial police lab is also expected this morning. The circumstances of the fire are not yet known.
