American billionaire Elon Musk announced, “We will continue to fund the Ukrainian government by providing Starlink services for free, even if it causes losses.”
Musk’s “SpaceX” company had notified the US Department of Defense (Pentagon), that it would not be able to provide Internet service to the Ukrainian army via its satellite, “Starlink”.
CNN reported that in its letter, the company requested that the Pentagon fund Ukraine’s use of Starlink, which would cost more than $120 million for the remainder of the year.
Internet stations via “Starlink” are a vital source of communications for the Ukrainian army, after the destruction of cell phone networks and the Internet in the country.
