Weather conducive to sunglasses on the terrace this Tuesday: will it last?

A powerful anticyclone over central Europe will continue to direct dry and stable southern air towards our regions. Tomorrow, this area of high pressure will show its first signs of weakness and, during the night from Wednesday to Thursday, it will let a weakened disturbance reach the west of the country. Afterwards, we will switch under the influence of maritime currents that are sometimes sustained and disturbed from the western sector.

This Tuesday afternoon, the weather will be calm with bright sunshine and temperatures will reach values of 10 to 14 degrees. The light wind initially from south to south-east will become rather variable as the hours go by.

Tonight and tonight, the sky will be serene. At the end of the night, fields of high clouds will arrive from the west. The weather will also turn foggy around dawn. Even if a fog bank is not totally excluded, the risk is however limited and very localized. The minima will most often be between -3 and +3 degrees. In some Ardennes valleys, the mercury could drop to -6 degrees. The wind will be weak, and on the heights of the Ardennes moderate, from south to south-east.

Will it last?

Tomorrow, the day will be quite sunny despite the high sails. The maximums will again be between 10 and 14 degrees. The wind will be light to moderate and will veer from south to southwest. In the evening, we will find a practically serene sky, the altitude sails having evacuated towards Germany. During the night from Wednesday to Thursday, the cloudiness will increase from the coast and, in the second part of the night, some rain will be possible in the west of the country. In the south-east, the sky will remain calm for a good part of the night. The minima will be between -2 degrees in the south-east and +5 degrees at sea, under a moderate south-westerly wind.

However, THURSDAY, the weather will often be very cloudy with light rain at first. During the afternoon, these rains will increase somewhat, especially in the northern half of the country. The maxima will be between 6 degrees in Hautes-Fagnes and 10 degrees in the west. The wind will be moderate, quite strong at sea, from the southwest.

Finally, Friday, the weather will remain very cloudy with a little drizzle at times. The maxima will range between 8 and 12 degrees under a fairly strong wind, strong at sea, from west to southwest. Wind gusts can reach 60 to 75 km/h.

It will therefore be necessary to take advantage of the sun this Tuesday and Wednesday, as long as it is still there.
